What we did
The brief
Camping with Custodians is an Australian-first program that builds campgrounds on Aboriginal land, open to the public and run by the community. Visitors stay on Country and meet the people who live there, and their fees stay in the community.
Tourism WA brought us in to give the Peedamulla campground team social media training built for them, not off the shelf.
The work
In May 2018 Meg went up to Peedamulla for hands-on training with the campground staff: Facebook and Instagram basics, why posting regularly matters, and how to make content people stop scrolling for.
The takeaway
Nobody tells a place’s story better than the people who live there. Training gives them the tools and the confidence to do it.
